Lillian is excited about her return to TAG as director of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. It marks TAG’s completion of August Wilson’s Pittsburgh Cycle. This accomplishment places TAG among the very few theaters in the country that have completed Wilson’s full 10 play series of African American life in each decade of the 20th century. Lillian enjoys wearing both hats as actress and director. She directed Radio Golf last year. In 2005, she played the role of Beneatha in A Raisin in the Sun. She returned to the stage as Louise in Seven Guitars and as Ruby in King Hedley II, all at TAG. She played Roz, the marriage counselor in Ventriloquist at Kumu Kahua Theater. Last fall in 2014, she was the lead, Mama Nadi, in Ruined by Lynn Nottage, at the University of Hawaii. She has aspirations for writing plays. Enjoy the show!
