Meet Alan Picard who plays Pendleton in Tarell Alvin McCrany’s “Choir Boys”

Welcome back to our series where we meet the actors at TAG.  This week I would like to introduce you to Alan Picard, a familiar face at TAG, who will be portraying Pendleton in Tarell Alvin McCrany’s Choir Boys.

Alan was most recently on stage in 1776 – The Musical at Paliku Theatre as Ceasar Rodney, one of the delegates who signed the Declaration of Independence. His last appearance at TAG was in A Raisin In the Sun, as Karl Lindner. Past favorite roles include  Pastor Manders in Ghosts, Reverend Tooker in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof and Irvin in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom at TAG; Dr. Dysart in Equus and Mitch in A Streetcar Named Desire at KCC; Avram in Fiddler On the Roof and Charlie in Aloha Rosie’s at HPU; and Dr. Spivey in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at MVT. He also portrayed multiple characters in Annie at ACT and The Joy Luck Club at DHT. This is Alan’s 10th show at TAG, going back to Shadowlands in 2008. Time flies when you’re having fun!
